All glass bottle milk comes in 1 pint bottles with a foil cap, once this is removed there is no top to the bottle, so we can supply resealable cap which are coloured coded, so staff can identify, which variety of milk is in each bottle – full fat whole, semi skimmed and skimmed.

There are many different varieties of milk available for consumption within the UK.

The different milks tend to vary according to the way they are produced and their fat content.

The fat content of milk varies depending on the product:

  • Whole milk is a full fat milk it contains more than 3.5% of fat it is highly nutritious and provides the essential nutrients required for growth and development 
  • Semi skimmed milk contains half the fat of whole milk 1.7% semi skimmed milk is a very popular type of milk, it contains 95 calories in a 200ml glass , as some of the cream has been removed 

  • Skimmed milk is made when all the milk fat is removed from the whole milk ,it tends to contain around 0.1% fat, skimmed milk is beneficial to weight management
